Dynamic Duos #81: Midnight Muse & ?

For this weeks challenge at Dynamic Duos, we are looking for paper creations using Midnight Muse and any other color of your choice! Here's the challenge:
And here's what I made. I chose Midnight Muse and Old Olive.

I used the Christmas Star single stamp for this project.  I added little stars (that are sparkly) from the Holiday Collection Framelits and swirls that are from a retired sizzlit called Scribbles Swirls. : )
I ran the Old Olive card stock thru my Big Shot twice using the Stylish Stripes folder to obtain more stripes for an added look from the embossing folder. :)
RECIPE:
STAMPS: Christmas Star, Greetings of the Season and Merry Little Christmas
INK: Midnight Muse and Versamark.
PAPER: Season of  Style DSP, Midnight Muse, Old Olive and Whisper White
ACCESSORIES: Holiday  Collection Framelits, Stylish Stripes EF, Scribbles Swirls Sizzlit, White Embossing powder, Iridescent Ice Embossing powder, Basic Pearls, Large Pearls and Dimensionals.

So thankful for You

Hello, fellow stampers!  Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I wanted to thank each and everyone of you for all of the sweet comments you have made on my blog. Thank you so very much! I appreciate each and everyone of your comments. : ).
Today I am sharing an "odd" sized Thanksgiving card and matching envelope that we made at a recent stamp club.  I purposely made the card an odd shape so that we could make a matching envelope using the very cool Envelope Punch Board.  That thing is so much fun!  I am sure you have seen the many, many things you can make with this simple tool.  Today's post shows a file folder look on the card as well as the matching envelope.  We used basic White card stock to create the envelope and stamped the inside to match the card.  NOTE: Using card stock instead of your DSP will save you money  if you are making a lot of the same thing- which we were.   The 2nd picture isn't the best to show the cool envelope....but you certainly get the concept. :)  Without further delay here it is:
Everyone's card looked a little different as we used different pieces of the Sweater Weather DSP.

RECIPE:
STAMPS: Wonderfall, Gorgeous Grunge and Banner Greetings
INK: Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry and Baked Brown Sugar
PAPER: Sweater Weather DSP, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White card stock
ACCESSORIES: Autumn Accents Die, Envelope Punch Board, 1 1/4" Burlap, Linen Thread and Chocolate Chip Brads.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving celebration with family and friends everyone!  Safe travels too!
P.S: Don't forget to stop by on Saturday for the new Dynamic Duos challenge of the week! Till then, happy stamping!!!

Dynamic Duos #80 is a Triple Threat!

It's time for another challenge over at Dynamic Duos, and this time we are excited to see what you create using three colors this week.  Yep, it's a threat! We dare you to use three colors instead of just two. :)  The threat is to use: Blushing Bride, Raspberry Ripple and Pear Pizzazz.  Here's the challenge:

And here's my card creation for this weeks challenge:
So far, all of the cards I have made for Dynamic Duos have been Christmas cards. I was going to continue with another Christmas card being that I have a million or so to make...but decided at the last minute to create this baby card since the colors were just perfect for it- AND the fact that Zoo Babies is a recent addition to my stamp collection. :)
RECIPE:
STAMPS: Zoo Babies and That's the Ticket
INK: Blushing Bride, Raspberry Ripple and Pear Pizzazz
PAPER: same as ink
ACCESSORIES: Alphabet Press embossing folder, Circle Die, Ticket punch, Itty Bitty Shapes punch, Bird Builder punch, Boho Blossom punch, Petite Pennants Builder punch, White Bakers Twine and Basic Pearls.

Check out the other designers for more inspiration!  Can't wait to see what you create!

Dynamic Duos # 79: Black Tie Week

Once again, it is time for a new color challenge at Dynamic Duos.:) This week's challenge is to use Basic Black and Smokey Slate (or Silver) with a dessert option of Christmas.  Here's the challenge:

And here's what I made:
As you can see, I chose to use Silver as opposed to Smokey Slate....and I also used my Stylish Stripes Embossing folder...AGAIN!  It was difficult to photograph...the Silver Foil sheet was very shinny in the sun.

Pretty straight forward design elements. I first stamped a row trees in Versamark and embossed them with white embossing powder. I then lightly sponged white craft ink around the trees.  Next, I stamped theb tree stamp in Whisper White craft repeatedly to create the background row of trees. I then stamped the snowflakes.  After it was dry, I got my glue pad out and stamped the ornaments onto the front row of trees and sprinkled them with Silver Stampin' Glitter and let it dry.  I tore a piece of white card stock to make the blanket of snow and added a bow for the top of the card using my SU small oval punch.  I used the SU: Warmth and Wonder Hostess stamp set from the Holiday Catalog to create this card.

The Dynamic Duo designers have made some awesome creations for this challenge!
Make sure you check them out, and come join the fun! :)

Dynamic Duos: #78 Subtly Yours....

Hello, fellow stampers! It's time for another Dynamic Duos challenge. Yippee-Skippee!  This time we want to see some "subtle" creations using Crumb Cake and Always Artichoke.....Here's the challenge:

And here's what I made for this weeks challenge:
Oh what fun it was to create this goody.  I pulled out all kinds of "accessories".  Here are a few explanations: I stamped each ornament in Crumb Cake onto Very Vanilla card stock. I then stamped each one of them again using my glue pad and then sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds glitter onto them.  I die cut out the ornament images onto a piece of Always Artichoke card stock and then stamped the branches using my Always Artichoke craft pad. Yep, I have an Always Artichoke craft pad.  As a matter of fact, I have all the original SU craft pads that were offered way back when. : ) Then I embossed the branches with Clear embossing powder.  I then stamped the ornaments string with my Versa mark pad and embossed it with Very Vanilla embossing powder.  I then ran this piece through my Big Shot using the Stylish Stripes embossing folder (and prayed that it wouldn't ruin the embossed images...and it didn't!)  Note to self: stop using the Stylish Stripes embossing folder on every card you make! :)
For assembly, I used dimensionals to raise the Always Artichoke piece of card stock onto a piece of Crumb Cake and "dropped" the die cut ornaments inside for perfect placement. I then added the die cut stars.  After more layering and adding a bow, I placed this piece onto the Crumb Cake card base using dimensionals again.  Finally, everything was accented with Basic Pearls.  In real life, she is pretty sparkly! : )
I hope you find this inspiring, and pop on over to Dynamic Duos and play along!!!  For more "subtly yours" inspiration, please stop by the other designers and see what they have made:

Color Me Money Christmas card: FFC21

Hello!  I hope this post finds you well, and ready for the weekend. : ) Last Saturday, I drove down to Kansas to visit my sister and my niece who turned one last month.  It was so nice to see them!  My niece is so sweet, and I am so glad I made the trip. Wish we lived closer.
Ok, onto my post: Tonight, I decided to play along with the FESTIVE FRIDAY challenge blog.  The challenge is to make a Christmas card using Red, White and Aqua.  Here's what I came up with:
This is a money card holder that will fit into a regular sized legal envelope.  Some of my Christmas recipients will get the real thing: cash. : )   I took the picture just a few minutes ago, on my stamping table which really isn't set up for taking quality pictures.  Such is life.
e
I stamped the tree in Black Stazon ink and water colored it with my aqua painter and Pool Party ink. I then added Red Liquid Pearls to the bulbs. When it was dry,  I fussy cut it out. I also free hand cut the snow and sponged it with Pool Party.  Dazzling Diamonds glitter was added to the tree and snow. The Music Notes where wheeled onto a piece of blank white card stock using Pool Party.  To finish off the card (and for fun), I added some white sequins as snow. : )
RECIPE
STAMPS:
Color Me Christmas, Music Notes wheel
INK: Black Stazon and Pool Party
PAPER: Whisper White, Pool Party and Real Red
ACCESSORIES: Aqua Painter, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Pool Party Seam Binding Ribbon and Sequins.
 Happy Stamping!!
