Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween everyone!  I hope you have a safe, fun and entertaining celebration with your family and friends.  I am down to one child who will be trick or treating this year. My daughter is looking forward to "heading into town" to pass out candy at her boyfriends house- yikes!!! Time sure does fly, doesn't it? Anyways, here's a treat bag I made for Halloween this year:
I cut out two of the largest Deco Labels framelits with Basic Black card stock and trimmed off the bottom so that it would stand. I ran them through the Spider Web folder and dragged my White craft pad across it.  I made a little box and attached them to it. I made a paper handle and secured it to the bag with brads.  I also used Witches Brew Washi tape on the sides of the box to decorate it and make it more secure.
I even covered a glimmer brad with Washi tape so that it would match. : )  I made several of these to hand out to a few special grown ups. : )        Eat if you DARE!!!!  ha! ha!   Happy Halloween!!

It's almost time to have a Halloween Bash!

Tomorrow is Halloween! Can you believe it?!  Here is another Halloween themed card for my "Wicked Wednesdays".  I wanted to use the "Admit One to Halloween Bash" image from the Halloween Bash stamp set and decided an easel card would be fun. Here it is.

I love easel cards.  I love that you can display them without the card failing over....and I tend to display my new creations a lot around my house!. : )
RECIPE:
STAMPS: Halloween Bash and That's the Ticket
INK: Black Stazon
PAPER: Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie and Summer Starfruit
ACCESSORIES: Witches Brew DSP, Ticket punch, Tasteful Trim Die, Delicate Doilies Sizzlit, Chalk Talk Framelit, Black Glimmer Brads and Paper piercing tool.

PP169: Greetings of the Season

Yippee! Yesterday, I finished making and addressing all my Halloween cards and gifts that I send to my family (and now my son in college) and am now moving onto Christmas themed projects.: )  After teaching Sunday School, picking up trash in the ditches for Youth Group fundraising, and taking my little dog, Riley out for a well deserved walk on this beautiful day...I headed to my stamping room while my 2 children did their homework.  With a coffee in hand (homemade mocha) and Christmas music playing in the background....I found a fun sketch to follow at Paper Players. : )  A stampers life doesn't get much better than that, right???  Here's the sketch:
And here's what I made:
The Winter Frost Specialty DSP is awesome!  Very trendy, cool colors to work with!
I stamped the tree in Island Indigo ink onto Smoky Slate card stock and hand cut it out.  When the card was completely assembled, I added glue dots using my Multipurpose Liquid Glue and sprinkled Silver Stampin' Glitter over it.  I used my small Oval punch (retired) to make the cute little bow.  It's hard to see, but I also used the Stylish Stripes Embossing folder on the white piece of card stock.  I love how this folder makes a clean, yet stylish background- hence the name! : )
RECIPE:
STAMPS: Christmas Lodge (#123769), Greetings of the Season (#128033)
INK: Island Indigo
PAPER: Smoky Slate, Island Indigo and Whisper White
ACCESSORIES: Winter Frost Specialty DSP, Stylish Stripes embossing folder, Silver 1/8" Ribbon, Silver Stampin' Glitter, 3/8" Brights Glimmer Brads and small Oval punch.
Thanks for stopping by!  Happy stamping!

Beware....

Hello, and happy Friday! : )
Today was the first day this week that I was able to stamp.  I worked quit a bit this week, and was so eager to meet up with my stamps this morning.  I decided to play along with the dynamic duos challenge #75, and about half way thru its creation, I noticed that the challenge closed yesterday. .opps! Bummer for me.  But, it was fun to create nonetheless, and I am excited to share it with you. : )
Here's the challenge:
And here's the card I made:
I decided to make a file folder card using my beloved Envelope Punch board.  And as you can see, I used my Gorgeous Grunge stamp set yet again!!!
Here's a better picture with the card in a stand so that you can see the sides of the file card.  Very fun and very easy to make!
Notice the black card stock layering around the punched out image?  To create it, I used the Decorative Label punch for the top and bottom, but for the sides I punched out a 1" circle and cut it in half. : )

RECIPE:
STAMPS: Halloween Bash, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Gorgeous Grunge and Off the Grid
INK: Black Stazon and Tangerine Tango ink
PAPER:  Whisper White, Basic Black, Basic Gray and Tangerine Tango card stock
ACCESSORIES:  Quatrefancy Specialty DSP, Envelope Punch Board, Scallop Trim Boarder punch, Decorative Label punch, Large Oval punch, Scallop Oval punch, 1" circle punch, Chevron Embossing Folder, Tangerine Tango Candy Dots, Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon, Paper piercing tool and mat.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!!!

Thankful for You

Here's another card I made using the awesome Wonderfall stamp set and matching Autumn Accents Bigz Die.
I ran the piece of Sweater Weather DSP that is the color Tangerine Tango through my Big Shot using the Stripes Embossing Folder and then sanded it down with my sanding block.  It really gives it a warm, fuzzy feeling. : ) Of course I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to give the leaves added dimension.  Can't live (or stamp) without the stamp set!
RECIPE:
STAMPS:Wonderfall (#128097) Gorgeous Grunge (#130517) and Banner Greetings (#129714)
INK: Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry, Sahara Sand and Tangerine Tango
PAPER: Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla
ACCESSORIES: Sweater Weather DSP, Autumn Accents Bigz Die, 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon, Stripes Embossing Folder, Sanding block, Linen Thread and Chocolate Chip Brads.
Thanks for stopping by today!  Happy stamping!

Chalk Board Technique: Wicked Wednesday

Can you believe that Halloween is only 8 days away!?! Wow, does time fly by!!!  Here's one of my top favs (do I say that a lot?) for Halloween cards I made for this year using the Chalk Board technique.  I really like it and hope you do too.
I sponged all the paper pieces (except for the black card stock) with Basic Black ink using a sponge dauber.  I added speckles and dots using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (love it!) onto a piece of Crumb Cake card stock and distressed it with my finger nail.  I did the same to the next two layers.
I wrapped Linen Thread around the card 2 times and tied a knot.  Lastly, I added 2 Pumpkin Pie Candy Dots to even out the placement of the DSP flags.

RECIPE:
STAMPS: Halloween Bash and Gorgeous Grunge
INK: Basic Black and Versa Mark
PAPER:  Basic Black and Crumb Cake
ACCESSORIES: Witches Brew DSP, White embossing powder, sponge daubers, Linen Thread and Pumpkin Pie Candy Dots.
Happy Wicked Wednesday!

Admit One...At Own Risk!

It's Wednesday! And that means its time to share another Halloween creation!  So without further delay...here's my share:
Do you notice anything strange or different about the Spider Web embossing folder?  Well, I embossed it on one side and then flipped it over and embossed it on the other side. When I rubbed my White craft pad over the embossed card stock, it made this cool effect.  Kinda like there are many webs that are in 3D.  Pretty cool...huh?. : )
Again, I used the Halloween Bash stamp set along withe the That's the Ticket stamp set.  I just love the "Happy Halloween" ticket image!  Especially since it has a matching punch! : )

RECIPE:
STAMPS: Halloween Bash and That's the Ticket
INK: White Craft pad and Stazon Black ink
PAPER: Basic Gray and Basic Black
ACCESSORIES: Witches Brew DSP, Spider Web embossing folder, Ticket Duo Builder punch, Decorative Label punch and Basic Pearls.
Happy, Wicked Wednesday!

Joy and Love...again!

Here's another Christmas card I made using the Joy and Love Holiday Collection single stamp available thru Stampin' UP!
On my previous "Joy and Love" card, I outlined the Joy with my glue pen and added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  This time I outlined the Joy with my glue pen and then heat embossed it using Gold embossing powder. Unfortunately the picture does not do it justice with all the sparkle it has because it is still a gloomy rain day here.
RECIPE:
STAMPS: Joy and Love single stamp
INK: Cherry Cobbler, and Whisper White craft pad was used on the Old Olive piece of embossed card stock.
PAPER:  Season of Style DSP, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Whisper White card stock.
ACCESSORIES: Circle Framelits, Deco Labels Framelits, Large Scallop Edgelit, Delicate Designs Embossing folder, Cherry  Cobbler Seam Binding, Paper Doilie,  Champagne Glimmer Paper, Red Rhinestones, retired snowflake sizzlit and non-SU snowflake punch.

Happy stamping! Thanks for stopping by!  See you tomorrow!

Be Merry!

I had a few minutes to stamp today and decided to whip up a Christmas card using the Be Merry single stamp from Stampin' UP!.  This card came together very quickly as I had a left over piece of 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon sitting on my stamping table all ready to go from a previous project.  I also used the piece of burlap I tore off from the ends of the burlap ribbon and turned it into a bow.  How fun! : )
It's a gloomy rain, cold day here...so I had a hard time getting the true colors to show in the picture.
RECIPE:
STAMPS: Be Merry
INK: Whisper White craft
PAPER: Season of Style DSP, Baked Brown Sugar, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler
ACCESSORIES: Chalk Talk Framelits, White embossing powder, 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon, Adorning Accents Edgelits, Adoring Accents embossing folder, Old Olive Satin Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones and Dimensionals.
Thanks for stopping by! : )

Happy Birthday, Hanna!

My niece, Hanna turned "one" yesterday and this is the card I sent her.  Nope, I didn't get to see her :(  My daughter and I will be driving down to see her next month when the boys are deer hunting.  Can't wait! Hanna is my only niece -on my side of the family.  Her birthday ended up being one day after my mom's birthday.  My mom passed away at the early age of "55" suddenly... 10 and 1/2 years ago.  Hanna wasn't due till the end of October but she decided to make my mom's birthday "easier" to get thru for my sister and I and arrived right after my mom's special day! Hanna is a special little girl in so many ways and especially for my sister, who is the youngest in our family. Love you both so much!  Okay.....sorry for sharing so much but they mean the world to  me.  Here's the card I made:

Most everything I used here is retired!!!!! Colors are: Certainly Celery, Mauve Mist, Concorde Crush, Bashful Blue and Wisteria Wonder.

Happy Stamping!

Wicked Wednesday: Trick or Treat!

I had so much fun making this card and matching envelope using the AWESOME Envelope Liners Framelits DiesI really wanted my tags on the side of the cards to hang over so I made the card only 3 1/4" wide (1/2" shorter on each side).  Now it will fit perfectly into the cool envelope with the tags unharmed. :)
I love, love this card!  So easy to make, thanks to Stampin' UP! goodies like the Tags 4 You stamp set and matching Label Bracket punch.
Isn't this just fun??
RECIPE:
STAMPS: Tags 4 You and Wicked Cool (retired)
INK: Black Stazon
PAPER: Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Gray and Basic Black
ACCESSORIES: Witches Brew DSP, Label Bracket punch, Delicate Doilies Sizzlits, Envelope Liners Framelits, 1 3/4" circle punch and Rhinestones.

Hope you like it as much as I do!  Wait until you see the creation I made for next week!  Happy, wicked Wednesday!

Wicked Wednesday: Creepy, Crawly Halloween

For this creation, I focused on the color: Summer Starfruit. I love the "creepy crawly Halloween" stamp image from the Halloween Bash stamp set. I made it into a tag using my Chalk Talk Framelits.
I stamped the Off the Grid stamp set repeatedly onto the tag image using Summer Starfruit ink to give it a grungy look.  I love that stamp set! : )

INK: Summer Starfruit and Basic Black
PAPER:Basic Black, Summer Starfruit and Very Vanilla
ACCESSORIES: Witches Brew DSP, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Gray and Pumpkin Pie Markers, Chalk Talk Framelits, Summer Starfruit 3/8" Satin Ribbon, Linen Thread, Basic Pearls, Sharpie Marker, Dazzling Details Glitter and sponge dauber.
