Happy Easter!

Hello, and Happy Easter to all my fellow stampers! Today, I am sharing an egg shaped Easter card and matching basket.  The Easter card was made back in February by my club ladies, and I recently decided it needed a matching basket. : )
I had to use Mr. Bunny to hold up the card in the first picture.  The picture below is with the card untied and standing open along with a side profile of the basket.  The paper handle appears to be scrunched a bit! I guess I have been handling it too much! : )  I don't see any candy in it...hmmmm
The next two pictures are just close ups of the card and basket showing the layered flowers.  We used Pool  Party embossing powder and embossed the Secret Garden flowers onto Pool Party, Tangerine Tango and Rich Razzleberry card stock.  No painting or coloring required!

A very bright and cheery card for Easter!

Last Day to Sale-a-brate! :(

It's the last day of Sale-a-bration!!!  OMG!  I have been having so much fun with this years FREE stampin' goodies!  How about you?  Today, in honor of the last day to sale-a-brate, I am sharing two cards made with the Feeling Sentimental stamp set.  I will be honest with you and tell you that at first glance of this set, I wasn't sure if I would like it. WRONG!!!  With all the beautiful samples out there by fellow stampers...it joined my ever expanding/changing "must have" list. : )
I love, love, love this card!!!!  It goes right into my favorites.  Basic Gray ink on Very Vanilla card stock is absolutely lovely!
Sponging Basic Gray onto the Labels Collection Framelit shape along with paper piercing makes it soft and elegant.
The 2nd card here is very similar except I added the Chevron Embossing folder and take a look at the "Happy Birthday".  Do you know where it comes from???
If you said the That's the Ticket stamp set, you are correct!  I just trimmed it down to make a banner for the bike.
 RECIPE:
STAMPS: Feeling Sentimental (SAB), Perfectly Penned and That's the Ticket
INK: Basic Gray and Pool Party
PAPER: Basic Gray, Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Pink Pirouette, Primrose Petals and More Amore Specialty DSP
ACCESSORIES: Basic Gray 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Festive Paper piercing template, Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack, Basic Pearls and sponge daubers. Chevron Embossing Folder, Pool Party Seam Binding,  Basic Rhinestones.

Mojo Monday 283 (on Friday)

Today I played along with the Mojo Monday 283 sketch. I used the Print Poetry DSP as my color pallet and found a beautiful piece of of DSP from the Patio Party collection to add to it (the Summer Starfruit base). click HERE to see the sketch layout.
I used lots of fun Stampin' UP! goodies to create this card.  It was so nice to not have to cut anything out for this card.  If the stamp set has a matching die or a matching punch...consider it a must have-for me! : )

Oh, Whale Baby Boy card

Boy-o-Boy (tee-hee) was last week busy!  My youngest son, Zachary turned eleven. I had hostess club night and then we had district play-offs for Zachary's hockey team.  They played very well and took home the 1st place trophy as District Champs!  Very exciting! : )
Here is one of the cards we made on club night.  We used the Oh, Whale stamp set and matching Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP.  Although this is a baby boy card, I picked it because it can easily be changed into a girl card using the same DSP paper (see the pink and blue whales?). Just change the background color to Pretty in Pink or Pink Pirouette and you will have a cute baby girl card. : )
I used Bashful Blue card stock as my base.  The whale is stamped in Marina Mist.  We used two folders: First the Honeycomb which we sponged White craft onto. Next, we punched out a 2 1/2" white circle and ran it thru the Cloudy Day folder.

And notice the stitching? I absolutely love the Needlepoint Border embossing folder.  It's very easy to use and can add that extra detail to give any card that special touch.  Accessories, to me, are a necessity!

Recipe:
Stamps: Oh, Whale
Paper: Sprinkles & Sunshine DSP, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Whisper White
Ink: Marina Mist and White Craft
Accessories: Honeycomb, Cloudy Day and Needlepoint emb. folders, Happy Whale Clearlits Die, Island Indigo Bakers Twine, Scallop Trim punch and Basic Pearls.

What do you think?  Thanks for stopping by...and hope you get to stamp-a-latte!!
