Oh, Whale Baby Boy card

Boy-o-Boy (tee-hee) was last week busy!  My youngest son, Zachary turned eleven. I had hostess club night and then we had district play-offs for Zachary's hockey team.  They played very well and took home the 1st place trophy as District Champs!  Very exciting! : )
Here is one of the cards we made on club night.  We used the Oh, Whale stamp set and matching Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP.  Although this is a baby boy card, I picked it because it can easily be changed into a girl card using the same DSP paper (see the pink and blue whales?). Just change the background color to Pretty in Pink or Pink Pirouette and you will have a cute baby girl card. : )
I used Bashful Blue card stock as my base.  The whale is stamped in Marina Mist.  We used two folders: First the Honeycomb which we sponged White craft onto. Next, we punched out a 2 1/2" white circle and ran it thru the Cloudy Day folder.

And notice the stitching? I absolutely love the Needlepoint Border embossing folder.  It's very easy to use and can add that extra detail to give any card that special touch.  Accessories, to me, are a necessity!

Recipe:
Stamps: Oh, Whale
Paper: Sprinkles & Sunshine DSP, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Whisper White
Ink: Marina Mist and White Craft
Accessories: Honeycomb, Cloudy Day and Needlepoint emb. folders, Happy Whale Clearlits Die, Island Indigo Bakers Twine, Scallop Trim punch and Basic Pearls.

What do you think?  Thanks for stopping by...and hope you get to stamp-a-latte!!
