Celebrate Today

My friend Jennifer was looking to borrow a 2 inch circle punch for her stamping club.  I don't have a 2" circle punch, but I do have the Circles #2 Big Shot die which has a 2 " circle on it. To see if she wanted the size for her card,  I ran a piece of white card stock thru and came out with 4 circles and of course she said "great, I will borrow this next week".  Needless to say I had these 4 white circles sitting on my table so I decided to make a flower.  Hence the creation of this wedding card.  To make the flower more dimensional, I added  another 3/4" circle to it.  Next, I ran the circles thru the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder...then I sponged it with black ink and then I cut it to make "pedals".  It really was fun to make. : )

Recipe: Styled Beautiful and Perfectly Penned stamp sets, Neutrals DS pack, Basic Black and Whisper White card stock. Lace Ribbon Border punch, Perfect Pennants Big Shot Die, Antique Brad, Rhinestones and Basic Black Satin Ribbon.  Have a great stamping day and thanks for stopping by! Annette

Kindness Matters

One of the first sets I was drawn to in the new 2011- 2012 Stampin' UP! catalog was the "Kindness Matters" stamp set.  I love the font and the images.  Its petite, yet elegant.  And kindness does matter, so it was a must have for me.  : )  This is one of the projects we made at my Open House on August 13, 2011.  It showcases many new must have items: Perfect Pennants Big Shot Die, Lace Ribbon Border punch, Pocketful of Posies Designer Series (DS) paper, and the Hello, Doily stamp- along with the Kindness Matters stamp set.  We made a pedal cone box and butterfly to match this card.  Sorry, I did not take a picture of the others items. : (  Colors:  Elegant Eggplant and Crumb Cake.  Thanks for stopping by!  Annette

Field Flowers- again!

Here is another Field Flowers card I made for my display board for my Open House last Saturday. Again the colors of the flower are Bashful Blue and Marina Mist. I added clouds in the background...and while I was sponging it, I ended up with a "smear" on the left side.  I didn't like it and needed to cover it up.  So, I decided to add the pennants on the side.  And you thought I did that on purpose!!  : )

Recipe:  Field Flowers, Pennant Parade and Woodgrain stamp sets. Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Chocolate Chip ink and card stock. Neutrals DS paper, Marina Mist Polka Dot ribbon, Itty Bitty Shapes punch, Petite Pennants Builder punch, Small Oval punch, Stripes embossing folder, Rhinestones, White bakers twine.

Happy Monday!  Annette

Field Flowers

How many of you put Field Flowers stamp set on your wish list???  It was definitely one of the first sets on my wish list.  This set has been sitting on my stamping table collecting dust bunnies for the month of July as I am usually too busy to stamp much in the summer. However, I finally DID find a little extra time to stamp with this new awesome set.  I love the detail of the flower image either by itself, or with the 2 step stamping.  On Saturday, my stamping friends will be making a cool card using this set.  But in the mean time, here is another card for you to see.  Happy Stamping!  Annette

Colors: Chocolate  Chip, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Pear Pizzazz.

Pennant Parade

Here is another card I made with the Pennant Parade stamp set. My sister-in-law and a good friend of ours both had baby boys. Now they both have two boys in their family.  This card really ended up being a replacement for the ones I sent out.  I had a bunch of triangles sitting on my stamping table with the polka dotted piece, so I decided to make another baby card for future use.  I love how it turned out.  Plus, I got to use one of  Stampin' UP!s new Designer Printed  Brads!

RECIPE:
Stamps:  Pennant Parade, Short and Sweet
Paper: Just Add Cake DS paper, Wild Wasabi, So Sarfron, and Baja Breeze
Accessories: Petite Pennants Builder, Scallop Border and Dotted Scallop Ribbon punches, Perfect Polka Dots folder, Beautiful Wings die, Baja Breeze Seam Binding, Calypso Coral Designer Brad, Rhinestones.

Hope you enjoy the card, and I hope you plan to attend my Make and Take Open House. We will be making some cool things!  Have a great day!  Annette
