Simple Snowflake / A visit to the Pumpkin Patch

Recipe at end of blog post. :)

My hubby came home a day early from his Elk hunting trip in Colorado (he did get an Elk this year! Congrats to you, John!) so we were able to head out to the Pumpkin Patch as a family last Saturday.

Since then, I have been subbing a lot at Zachary's school as many teacher were out sick. Today, I kept Zachary home. He isn't feeling too great. He has a low grade fever, and congestion. I did get to stamp this morning, and boy do I miss it! I am grateful to be able to a hobby you can do almost anytime.
I love the simple snowflake stamp. It will definitely be a keeper. I love any stamp that has a matching punch. The simple snowflake stamp set is only: $7.95. Add it to your list if you haven't already!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Simple Snowflake
Ink: White craft pad and embossing powder
Paper: White, Soft Suede, Real Red, and Christmas Cocoa DS paper (love it!)
Accessories: Jumbo snowflake punch, 3/4" polka dot grosgrain ribbon, Circle cutter, joyful and buttons #5 sizzlits dies, white glitter brad, paper piercer tool, mat and guide.

Have a great day! Annette

Dusty Durango

I whipped this card up inbetween driving and picking up kids from activities last night.

Dusty Durango is very similar to the my kitchen wall colors. See it in the background? You can also see a yummy pumpkin donut sitting on my counter and another pumpkin decoration on my shelf on the left. A festive picture, don't you think? By the way, I'll have you know I did not eat any donuts....bought them for the kids and I successfully did NOT eat one! I'm sure I'll make up for it later, though.

Crack out your sanded background stamp set...it makes a wonderful background for Halloween cards! Obviously the Big Shot Top Note Die is to "die" for- ha, ha!!!

Kids are off in Minnesota on Thursday and Friday of this week, so I thought I would post now -as who knows when I'll get to stamp again this week! Have a great rest of the week!

Branch Out

Here's one of the projects we made in September Hostess Club. The tree was sponged with Mellow Moss to give it a "full" effect. We made two trees so that we could punch out 1/2" circle pieces to adhere with dimensionals. A fun card to make.
Recipe:
Stamps: Branch Out, Teeny Tiny Wishes;
Ink: Soft Suede, Always Artichoke, Elegant Eggplant,More Mustard, Ruby Red, and Mellow Moss;
Paper: Soft Suede, Always Artichoke, Elegant Eggplant, Ruby Red, More Mustard and Autumn Traditions DS;
Accessories: Buttons Die, Elegant Eggplant Ribbon Originals, Paper Piercer, mat and guide, sponge dauber, 1/2" circle punch, dimensionals, and spiral punch.
Today would have been my mom's 62nd birthday. Happy Birthday, mom. I miss you so much.

Boo!

I haven't had a chance to stamp in a few days, and since it was such a rainy morning (and still is raining), I stamped while doing laundry...and now I feel a little better. AAAHHHH. I need to move onto Christmas...but can't get Halloween out of my mind now that I finally got my Halloween decorations up. Ya-who!

Halloween Hoot

The dreaded sickness has hit my house now! UG! Hope everyone out there is taking their vitamin C and getting plenty of rest!!!

Although I love the witch cards I have made so far, this card is definently one of my favs. I was getting ready for my Hostess Club and made the owl on the tree branch. After I finished creating the card for my club, I remade the owl as my aqua painting wasn't the best on this one.

Later on when I was cleaning up my stamping area, I couldn't toss him away, so instead, I whipped this card. Non stampers (or perfectionists) will not even notice, right?
I LOVE my top note die. Add a little sponging to the sanded background stamp and you have yourself a spooky card! What a hoot!

Recipe:

STAMPS: Halloween Hoot, Sanded
INKS: Basic Black, Perfect Plum, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip reinkers;
PAPER: Perfect Plum, Basic Black, Whisper White and Night & Day Speciality DS paper;
ACCESSORIES: Top Note Die, 5/16" circle punch, purple brads, 1 1/4" circle punch (to make the moon), sponge and aqua painter.

Have a great day! Annette
