I have three cards to share with you today.

Ok, some of you are saying "hey, you said you weren't getting that set". Well...I wasn't until it kinda grew on me. Doesn't that ever happen to you? It's really Beate's fault. I love to visit her blog. I am not a computer wiz...if you haven't figured that out by now...so I can't put a direct link to it here. I have it saved in my favorites...so I don't know the email address as I type this post. But most of you know who I am talking about anyways!
I stamped the birds feet in close to cocoa and stamped it on whisper white card stock. I then stamped another bird in sky blue and took my chocolate chip marker and drew around all the flowers on the birds belly. I stamped it and cut it out- excluding the feet. I then used my blender pen and groovy guava reinker to fill in the flower area of the bird. I think the rest is self explanatory. John's uncle; Uncle John passed away recently. He was 95. WOW! He was John's mom's brother. So I needed to make at least 2 sympathy cards. I also made a cute card using the Pun Fun set...but decided to save it for our make and take. I know you will love it! Have a great weekend! Annette

Sympathy card No. 2

Here's the 2nd sympathy card I made yesterday. The bird from "Close to Nature" -love that set- was stamped with black ink onto naturals white card stock. I water colored with my aqua painter and reinkers. This paper is thick so it is nice for water coloring if you don't have watercolor paper. I used the Afternoon Tea DS paper from the Occasions mini catty and the ribbon is non-SU from Walmart.

Jenny's beautiful card!

When we went scrap booking and stamping two weeks ago, Jenny N. was making mass quantities of this beautiful card...we loved it and asked if we could make one too!

The trees are stamped with old olive ink on watercolor card stock that was moistened with water. The green ink "bleeds" giving it this cool effect. After it was dry, we stamped the trees in chocolate chip ink lining them up with a stamp-a-ma-jig. All the edges were distressed and sponged with chocolate chip ink. Didn't it turn out great? Thanks for the cool card, Jenny.

Stressful Week

Hello, everyone. It has been a very stressful week for me. First, on Wednesday it was the 5 year anniversary date of my mom's passing away, then I ended up taking our dog Riley to the Vet on Thursday morning because he wasn't eating or drinking..and he had vomited a few times....I knew he was dehydrated. Then they said he was really sick and had to keep him at the hospital...and over night...to have us pick him up by 7:30 am on the morning after our snow storm. When we brought him back to the vet clinic....after spending a lot of money at the emergency vet clinic they said he may have a disease called Addison's Disease. BUT they weren't sure. Go figure? After spending over $1000 on his care...med's etc... they were not sure!
So, we are waiting to see what the test results reveal. I could go on and on...but you get the drift, right??? Prayers that our puppy will get better is greatly appreciated!

So, this morning I did stamp- finally. I really like how my latte card turned out...don't you? I really was thinking that maybe we would make this card at our next make and take..but darn it, the felt flower....I don't have an extra 10 to share....I'm being greedy...do you blame me? I love those felt flowers. Do you have them? If not, put it on your list! Have a great weekend. Annette
