Happy Halloween to all and all a Frightful Night!

This card was made last year..but it is darn cute, isn't it? Rebecca woke up before her alarm today because she is so excited about going to school today for her "thriller party" in which they actually do get to wear their costumes at the last part of the day and play games (she and 2 other girls have a game with prizes for all 5th graders to play). Obi -Wan Kenobi (Zachary) is eager to become a Jedi night with his light sabre tonight! Josh on the other hand, well, he's seeing the light- he's dressing as a deer hunter. The "kiddy stuff" is kinda over for him :( Hopefully I will survive the shock of this news! Have a great Halloween everyone! Annette

Star- Studded Season!

Here's a card I just finished. I used the Star-Studded Season stamp set from the Holiday mini, and the little stars from Background Basics.
Card stock colors: Purely Pomegranate, Basic Gray, and River Rock. Inks: So Saffron craft (the little stars), Basic Gray, Purely Pomegranate (sponging), So Saffron (sponging) and versa mark. I versa marked the star and embossed with iridescent ice embossing powder onto our Holiday Harmony DS paper. Ticket corner punch, gold brads and purely pomegranate double stiched ribbon finish it up!

Star of David

Here's a close up of the versa mark and iridescent ice embossed star. Have a great day!

Thinking of You

Okay, this set is retired, but I really wanted to use this stamp to make a card for a dear friend who's having a "ruff" time. Quick, simple - but dang cute, don't you think? :) I love my spot on jumbo wheel, spots are hot ya know, and who hasn't bought linen yet? Better put it on your list if you don't have it. I think I use it more than canvas these days! Have a good night!

Zoofari Trick or Treat!

While the kids where playing happily with our neighbors....I made this Halloween card just for fun! I had a blast experimenting with the Zoofari set, and found that I could "dress them up" for Halloween using the Bitty Boos Too set. They are ready to go Trick -or-Treating! Technique: masking, markering part of stamp and water coloring. It's hard to tell, but the Rhino and monkey have glittery teeth, and the scales on the snake have glitter, too.

Christmas Accordion Photo Book

Here's a project we made this morning at one of my Hostess Clubs. We used Dashing DS paper, Very Vanilla, Real Red, Old Olive and River Rock card stock. The inside is stamped using only the Season of Joy stamp set- from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I love this set! This is the same photo book we made last year using Holiday Thyme DS paper and the In Color inks from last years catalog. It was a lot of fun, and a big hit. See photo's below for what it looks like on the inside. :)

Heat-n-Stick Snow Burst

It's been a very busy week for me, and it will only be getting busier with my husband gone Elk Hunting for 10 days! Here is another card I made yesterday. I used markers to color the large snow flake from the Snow Burst stamp set. I sponged Soft Sky and Old Olive Ink onto the background of white card stock. I embossed four snow flakes with Not Quite Navy craft pad and used my Heat and Stick with Dazzling Diamonds glitter to bring them to life. You should see it in person! It's really quite shinny! I just love Heat and Stick! I cut them out and used my stampin' dimensionals to adhere them to the card. I used my new All in a Row (I still need to get used to it). It's hard to stamp it in a straight line...I finally gave up my desire for it to be perfect.- so here it is! :)

Ginormous Flower from me to you!

I love flowers....I just can't seem to have enough of them! Ginormous Flower was stamped in Chocolate Chip and cut out. Flower was stamped again in Bashful blue and punched out with scallop circle punch. I then used the 3/4 inch circle punch to punch out a certainly celery circle. I used the crop-a-dile to set a pewter jumbo eyelet. I used certainly celery DS paper for bottom of card and used craft pads in whisper white, certainly celery and bashful blue to add flowers to piece of choc. chip card stock. I love to use craft pads on dark colored card stock. Again, the Three For You punch box flowers make this card complete. So Many Sayings is a nice Hostess set, too.

Season's Greetings!

Well, this is the first card I have made with the new Snow Burst set. I wanted to see how the snow flakes looked embossed, so I just started embossing them with silver emb. pwdr. on white card stock. After viewing all six snow flakes embossed, I decided to cut the bigger one out-since it's so pretty, then I added a Rhinestone brad and it came to life! Next I picked 2 other colors (3 colors are usually the max to use on any card) and started embossing the smaller snow flakes randomly on Blue Bayou and Purely Pomegranate card stock. The 1 inch, 3/4 inch and 1/2 circle punches worked perfectly to complete my "snow flake scene". With all the embossing on this card, it will definitely get you in the mood for Christmas!
